Transformed Objects & Spaces
The most recent and largest commission is a contribution to the transformation of the previous “Golden Lady” Strip Club, located in the Bronx, NY. All artworks are designed for the transformation of the new learning environment and local community. Repurposed objects are often used to support the immersive experience through signage and motif throughout the building.
The Golden Lady Strip 2014
The Golden Lady was replaced with a new building created for children in the community as a school with a strong foundation in the Arts. Emlyn was commissioned by SBCSICA to create vibrant signage, murals and custom artwork for the school.
The building entrance is designed to welcome students with original artwork including cusotm handcrafted mosaics with school logo and address as well as the Magic Carpet mural.

The main entrance to the school is intentionally created as magical space with cultural imagery from fairy tales for children.
Art works are inspired by literature, art history, and culture. Each artwork is curated for an inclusive, diverse cultural environment.
